ABN AMRO is working hard to maximize the usage of APIs. The Enterprise Integration Technology (EIT) department is the place within ABN AMRO where everything related to APIs comes together.
Within our department, we are building and maintaining API platforms, we help the business to design and create the best possible APIs and support the developers in and outside of the bank with our developer portals.
Our API Competence Centre is the central place for APIs where enthusiastic professionals work together to set up the standards and guidelines and deliver consultancy and architectural support to the business.
Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge in facilitating architectural meetings with our Delivery Blocks. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting domain models, developing architectural documents, and approving top-tier API solutions. You'll be a champion of best practices, providing valuable insights to employees on the latest technologies and methodologies.
You will leverage your deep understanding of both emerging and established technologies within the API landscape to offer insightful guidance and support. Your role in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge management and training environment will be key. By identifying knowledge gaps within target groups, you'll deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and training sessions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Expertly managing stakeholder relationships, you'll identify key players and assess their perspectives on new technologies and methodologies. Your ability to persuade and ensure widespread adoption of these innovations will be crucial to your success.
Entrusted with upholding and enforcing quality standards and guidelines, you'll ensure that all policies are consistently applied and adhered to. By balancing the interests of various stakeholders, you'll curate a prioritized and value-driven backlog that maximizes impact and drives our initiatives forward.
Requirements
- Experience in Architecture, with Consultancy skills and persuasiveness
- Knowledge of:
- Open API specification standards & API Design Principles and Patterns and of REST architecture and HTTP RFCs
- Security patterns for APIs e.g. OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.
- Domain-Driven Design, information modeling, business analysis, and resource modeling
- API artifacts and service interface specs like WSDL, YAML, XML, UML.
- Formulating API guidelines, standards, and best practices
- Hands-on tooling experience: Bitbucket, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Swagger, Postman.
