Details
Anthropic is building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. This role is a customer-facing Applied AI Architect on the Applied AI team focused on pre-sales technical architecture and advising large enterprise customers on integrating and deploying Claude into their technology stacks. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to guide customers from technical discovery through evaluation and deployment, develop evals, and design scalable, safe architectures.
Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align business objectives with technical implementation
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers throughout Claude adoption: discovery, evaluation, and deployment; coordinate across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
- Support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work
- Create and deliver technical content tailored to different audiences, from engineering deep dives to executive-level business value presentations
- Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks
- Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases
- Identify common integration patterns and feed insights back to Product and Engineering teams
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building
- Maintain knowledge of LLM capabilities and implementation patterns
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager) working with enterprise customers and complex buying cycles
- Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders including C-suite, engineering, and IT teams
- Strong technical communication skills and experience translating customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems
- Comfortable with Python
- Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools or a background in machine learning or data science
- Experience building or deploying AI/ML solutions (LLMs, GenAI applications, or models) in customer-facing or production environments is strongly relevant
- Excitement for cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing priorities
- A passion for safe and beneficial AI systems and for teaching and mentoring others
Logistics
- Location: London, UK (role advert lists London as the location)
- Location-based hybrid policy: staff expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: £190,000 - £230,000 GBP
