As a Chapter Lead for our Financial Risk Azure ETL group, you will make a significant and meaningful contribution to our sustainable bank. You do this by:

Responsibilities

As a Chapter Lead, you are a hands-on IT Engineer and you will work in your own team on designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining, and realizing the highest quality and future proof IT solutions. Second, for another significant part of your time, you will be challenged to manage people and coaching them to advance their skills as both people and professional. Last but not last, you will make sure you will be on an ongoing learning path and educate others to achieve higher and more creative technical capabilities and move towards state-of-the-art solutions. We did say it is a challenge!

  • Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
  • Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing and best practices communities and events.
  • Continuous improvement and ongoing alignment with stakeholders.
  • Working in a DevOps environment, implementing and advocating the DASA DevOps way of working.
  • On a strategic level, you think ahead and make sure that everything continues to work flawlessly now and, in the future, mentor your team, execute and experiment with technical assessments, do interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Take care of people management processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance, and outflux of employees. Be flexible and willing to learn and develop yourself further and further.
  • Finally, get together with your colleague Chapter Leads to make sure that we as a team continue to have fun and walk the extra mile with our complete product and service chain delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data engineer/DWH Developer in an IT landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills and a creative mindset.
  • An academic degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related IT study.
  • Demonstrable expertise with Azure Data tooling (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps), Python/Pyspark framework/libraries and building ETL data pipelines.
  • Ability to write and optimise SQL Queries; experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Comfortable with helping others, coaching, and mentoring people, and have good people skills.
