Cloud Storage Engineer

Our team is looking for an energetic Cloud Storage Engineer with programming skills. In this role you will be building Object storage and File storage platforms. You will be building APIs and Automations that will support consumption and management of Namespaces, Buckets and File Shares as fully automated self-help system to our consumers.

The team

You will join a diverse team of young and experienced engineers who manage existing Cloud Storage platforms such as ECS and NAS. The team follows DevOps way of working and is managing existing platforms as well as building new features using API in Golang. In this role you will be working closely with this team and building newer storage solutions such as Minio. Think of this as building Amazon S3/Google Drive for the bank.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Cloud Storage Engineer you will be responsible for engineering and supporting ING's internal Object and File storage platforms. Learning how Cloud Storage solutions (Object, File) operate with our Infra Ecosystem and dependencies.

• As a DevOps engineer, working on Product backlog and refining features for current and new platforms.
• Designing and building new features as APIs (preferably in Golang) to offer our platforms with IaaS.
• Testing and Automating the platform processes. Building integrations of various Infra systems to help end-to-end Customer journeys.
• Document the features and processes on internal wiki and present them in Cloud Roadshows.
