Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds Grafana and the Grafana observability stack used by millions worldwide. The Commercial Solutions Engineer (SE) is a customer-facing product expert who helps educate potential and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, technical evaluations, and ongoing engagement. The role partners closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and serves as a communication channel from customers into Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Join a high-growth team to solve technical and customer problems collaboratively.
  • Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  • Own technical engagement with customers and help close high-velocity opportunities using competitive knowledge and technical credibility.
  • Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement to potential and existing customers.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
  • Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems discovered during interactions.
  • Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other internal and public enablement materials.

Requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
  • A technical mindset and a desire to grow technically; candidates may come from coding bootcamps, post-sales roles, or engineering backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and able to exercise strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, international team.

Bonus / Preferred

  • Experience with open source technologies.
  • Experience in the metrics/monitoring/observability space.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC / MEDDPICC.

Compensation & Benefits

  • UK OTE (On-Target Earnings) range for this role: £99,000 - £119,000 (actual compensation varies by level, experience, and skillset).
  • All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
