The Learning Team develops and delivers training across on-demand (ClickHouse Academy), live online, in-person customer training, and conference/community events. The team also builds credentials and certification programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ClickHouse training courses for both on-demand and instructor-led delivery, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs
  • Design new training courses for various personas and users of ClickHouse, collaborating with Engineering and Product to determine course content
  • Produce high-quality on-demand training content for ClickHouse Academy alongside other Curriculum Developers
  • Teach ClickHouse courses both virtually and in person for public and private deliveries
  • Help write and deploy quizzes and certification exams for ClickHouse credentials and certifications
  • Establish a community presence via social media, deliver training and talks at conferences
  • Travel to meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse

Requirements

  • Located in North America
  • Ability to travel regionally throughout North America
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively
  • Proven experience developing curriculum for a highly technical audience (software engineers, database developers)
  • Proven experience and ability to teach audiences of different sizes and backgrounds
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical breadth and depth in subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data
  • High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability

Bonus Points

  • 5+ years of experience with curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of building machine learning applications and/or GenAI
  • Strong knowledge of database internals and deploying them at scale
  • Experience with ClickHouse database
  • Experience with one or more cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience building software certification exams
  • Ability to work cross-functionally among engineering, support, product, and development teams
  • Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science or related field)

Compensation

  • Typical starting salary for this role in the US: $132,000 - $166,000 USD
  • Typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro): $147,000 - $184,000 USD
