Join Anthropic's Customer Success team to support government adoption of Claude across API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and Claude for Government (C4G). You will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor for government customers (federal civilian, state & local, national security organizations) and their system integrators, combining public sector domain knowledge with technical fluency to drive mission impact, adoption, and product-informed feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting, strategic relationships with government stakeholders (agency CIOs, ISSMs, mission operators) to understand objectives and identify expansion opportunities
  • Become an expert in Anthropic products across API, Claude for Government, Claude Code, and Claude for Enterprise, including technical nuances and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, IL5, HIPAA)
  • Monitor usage patterns and proactively drive adoption for both consumption-based (API) and seat-based products; identify optimization and expansion opportunities
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for government organizational cultures (Train the Trainer programs, Center of Excellence development, enablement respecting government capacity)
  • Serve as the customer’s thought partner, socialize product roadmap and new features (MCP, Skills, data classification), and engage Product PMs
  • Document and quantify value (mission impact outcomes, operational efficiency gains, ROI metrics) for government leadership and appropriators
  • Own customer experience across the lifecycle: comprehensive account and success plans, Executive Business Reviews, and primary conduit between customer and Anthropic
  • Partner with Applied AI team members embedded in accounts to identify hero workflows and demonstrate mission transformation

Requirements

  • 5+ years in customer-facing roles (Customer Success, Consulting, Solutions Architect, or similar), with strong preference for supporting government customers (federal civilian, state/local, national security)
  • Understanding of government procurement and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, StateRAMP, IL5) and constraints of public sector technology adoption
  • Experience driving success across both consumption-based and seat-based business models and understanding expansion levers and success metrics for each
  • Technical fluency to understand and explain AI/ML concepts, API integrations, and software implementation patterns to audiences ranging from developers to agency executives
  • Experience demonstrating technical products and explaining technical concepts to varied audiences (developers, executives, Congressional staff)
  • Strategic mindset to identify mission transformation opportunities and translate them into actionable expansion plans
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and advocacy for customer needs across internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for responsible AI development and public benefit
  • For National Security accounts: active or ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance preferred

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $200,000 - $260,000 USD

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Location-based hybrid policy: staff expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time (role-level expectations may vary)
  • Visa sponsorship: Anthropic states they do sponsor visas and will make reasonable efforts and retain an immigration lawyer to assist when they make an offer
