Are you passionate about both advanced analytics and empowering others to grow in their analytical capabilities? Channel Security is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for the Fraud Monitoring team to work with fraud experts, data scientists and machine learning engineers to safeguard customers from threats such as phishing, account takeover, lost or stolen debit cards, e-commerce fraud and more.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on data analysis to support business-as-usual activities, track key departmental KPIs and develop new insights into fraud patterns.
  • Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching to enhance analytical skills across the team.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to achieve strategic goals.
  • Partner with data scientists to transform insights into hypotheses and experiments to improve fraud detection and foster collaboration between data scientists and business experts.
  • Proactively look for and drive improvements in analytics, including reporting, dashboarding and data-driven decision making.
  • Present insights and mentor colleagues to adopt statistical rigor in analytical work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar).
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software; experience or exposure to at least four of the following (listed in the vacancy):
    • SQL (must have)
    • Python (must have)
    • Databricks / Snowflake, or other cloud analytics environments
    • MS Power BI, Tableau, Google Looker
    • PySpark and Apache Hive
    • No-SQL technologies (MongoDB, ElasticSearch or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience and understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience applying statistical techniques to real-world business problems.

Working environment

Grid Channel Security within Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) is responsible for prevention and detection of payment fraud and for policy and strategy in the area of fraud. The Fraud Monitoring team is a multidisciplinary group of ~25 colleagues focused on protecting customers. The team works in a hybrid way and follows agile and scrum principles.
