Role

We’re looking for a Data Center Technician with Project Management experience to support and maintain large-scale GPU clusters in a data center environment. This role is an IT Hardware Support Engineer position with a focus on IT projects and related activities. The role provides support in troubleshooting high-performance server hardware (including GPU clusters) and participates in implementation of additional infrastructure components on production sites. The role collaborates with the Technical Project Manager and requires advanced technical experience paired with some project management skills to move projects forward, identify risks, and participate in implementations with 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

  • Solve hardware-related issues with servers, involving in-depth advanced-level troubleshooting
  • Report to hardware problem management, execute workarounds and solutions
  • Proactively resolve L1/L2 support tasks via the ticketing system
  • Update processes and documentation for the IT hardware team
  • Collaborate with the Technical Project Manager on current projects
  • Participate in technical project implementations
  • Oversee 3rd party contractor activities during project implementations
  • Perform basic network tasks, troubleshooting and support

Requirements

  • Knowledge of datacenters and server equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of IT hardware and practical experience of troubleshooting
  • Advanced skills working with Unix/Linux operating systems and command line
  • Experience with equipment monitoring, data analysis and presentation
  • Basic understanding of Project Management methodologies
  • Basic understanding of Project Management tools (JIRA, Gantt charts)
  • Proactiveness and sense of responsibility
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Driving license

It will be a bonus if you have

  • Advanced knowledge of network equipment and troubleshooting
  • Proven project management experience in IT Infrastructure domain
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science

Compensation

We offer competitive hourly rates, ranging from $30.00 – $45.00 per hour based on your experience.
