Join CISO Cyber Defence — protecting ABN AMRO’s future.

CISO Cyber Defence is implementing a cutting-edge, data-driven analytic framework to visualize security gaps using a comprehensive set of metrics and to enable evidence-based decisions that improve the bank's cyber resilience. You will be part of the new "Cyber Insighters" team (Product Owner, Data-Driven Cyber Security Analysts, Data Analysts, Developers) based in Amstelveen. English is the primary working language.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine quantitative threat-modelling algorithms for the Cyber Resilience Index (CRI).
  • Develop and enhance the Security Metrics Framework (SMF) by integrating new data sources and improving data quality.
  • Produce statistical estimates for challenging security metrics and transform them into actionable, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Continuously analyse CRI and SMF outputs and recommend high-ROI security strategies; monitor their impact.
  • Lead demos and hands-on workshops to empower stakeholders and educate teams on evidence-based security solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to implement models into production pipelines and participate in code and data model reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity with a strong focus on data science.
  • Familiarity with cyber-threat and risk modelling frameworks and standards such as MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, CAPEC, CVE/CVSS, NIST, CIS Benchmarks and Microsoft Security Benchmark.
  • Knowledge of modern EDR/XDR suites, ability to evaluate control efficacy and telemetry coverage (including Microsoft Defender stack) and network-security fundamentals.
  • Experience with Azure services is desirable.
  • Data tooling and analysis skills: Python (data/ML stack), SQL and KQL; able to wrangle large and dynamic datasets.
  • Quantitative analysis & statistics: comfortable with statistical methods, confidence intervals and Monte-Carlo & Bayesian approaches.
  • Certifications such as CISSP or GIAC/SANS (e.g., GDSA, GICSP) are valued but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with PowerBI, Databricks and Detection Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with conceptual languages such as ArchiMate.
