Responsibilities
- Ensure robust and scalable real-time time-series data processing in Databricks (Scala) environments.
- Make data accessible and usable across departments to drive Eneco’s digital innovations.
- Lead technical decisions related to cloud-based data solutions and advise the product team.
- Design and implement cloud solutions to meet product requirements.
What you’ll do
- Set up projects and lead technical decisions on cloud-based data platform.
- Maintain API servers and develop streaming/batch data processing pipelines.
- Work on exciting IoT products such as smart thermostat, energy insights, and smart charging for consumers.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Experience in REST API development (e.g., Spring or FastAPI).
- Understanding of streaming data ingestion and processing.
- Experience with MPP data platforms such as Spark; experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog is a plus.
- Programming proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.
- Strong software engineering practices: code reviews, version control, testing, CI/CD.
- Interest in DevOps/SRE principles for production deployment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with high volume time series data.
- Knowledge of data modelling and architecture patterns.
- Experience deploying to Kubernetes and skills in monitoring (Grafana) and debugging.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (e.g., AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB) and RDBMS (e.g., Postgres).
- Proficiency in SQL and DBT with Snowflake.
- Interest or familiarity with MLOps and data science techniques.
