Details

You will work as an engineer in our ING Global Strategy & People Analytics team where we build and deploy analytics products, data science models & dashboards to support all decisions about ING employees making ING a great place to work for.

You will work in a squad on the front-line closely with data scientists and business translators to agree on the best way to support our stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in the administration of our platform and its future roadmap in collaboration with ING Tech & ING Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Creation, schedule and optimization of the data processing pipelines using SQL & Python and deployed on our on-prem platform.
  • Improve data flow, establish new data sources and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, providing robust solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Proactively working on our on-prem platform and its administration & its future roadmap with support of our data engineer.
  • You are the go-to person for our team members developing, testing, and deploying their work on our platform.
  • Support our platform’s IT Risk colleagues.

Requirements

We are looking for you if you:

  • Have 2-3 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Have hands-on experience building data pipelines.
  • Have strong experience in data processing and optimization using Python & SQL.
  • Have good knowledge of data manipulation and transformation.
  • Have knowledge of software engineering best practices.
  • Have deployment and provisioning automation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Have a take-it-on-and-make-it-happen mentality, you are eager to take full ownership when we enter the technical phase of a project.
  • Have excellent communication skills, writing and verbal in English.
  • Want to learn more and proactively acquire knowledge.

You'll get extra points for:

  • Hands-on experience in training and evaluating ML models.
  • Bash scripting and Linux systems.
