Role overview

We are looking for a Data Management Expert to work in the Risk area. You will be part of the Data Navigation team within Risk Hub, contributing to shaping the future of risk modelling and data analysis in Poland and cooperating with the global Risk Data tribe (colleagues in Amsterdam, Warsaw and Manila). The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Data Management Expert III”. You will report to Product Lead – Core Data Capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement data governance procedures using state-of-the-art data management practices for data delivery products in the risk area.
  • Analyse data requirements and design reliable data and metadata solutions for the risk area.
  • Ensure integrated end-to-end data deliveries to programs and functions, in close alignment with data consumers/report owners and local data suppliers.
  • Support COO Risk programs with consultancy on solution design and data modelling expertise.
  • Communicate effectively and adapt communication style and content to stakeholder needs; pay attention to input and opinions of others.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Navigate complex policies, processes and organizational dynamics across ING (organizational savvy).
  • Demonstrate a strategic mindset and translate future opportunities into concrete strategies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Data Management and knowledge of Data Solutions (e.g., Data Warehousing, Data Catalogue, Data Modelling, Data Lineage).
  • Experience working with risk data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to proactively and independently identify problems, analyse key information and make connections to bring solutions to senior management.
  • Hands-on, reliable executor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (English level: C1).
  • Multicultural mindset and a highly customer-focused outlook.

Nice to have

  • Statistical modelling experience.
  • Experience working in a large (international) organisation spanning multiple segments and locations, dealing with global operating models and deployment across countries and/or hubs.

Information about the squad

You will be part of the Data Navigation team, which is part of Risk Hub. You will closely cooperate with other Data Management Experts and work on producing and maintaining data and metadata management solutions within the organisation. You will work closely with other data teams, model development and methodology teams and other stakeholders.
