Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer in the Requirements Interface and Oversight team, you will:
- Design, develop and implement technical solutions to create a sustainable and scalable Central Requirements Repository.
- Analyse diverse resources to understand the interface between business needs for data, regulatory aspects, and technical capabilities.
- Integrate these disparate data sources to produce a comprehensive requirements repository that provides the end-to-end requirement lineage across the chain for insights discovery, analysis, and decision-making.
- Evaluate the potential of different data fields to enhance our integration and data-driven steering capability.
- Assess the information flow to recognize patterns and data clusters to gather actionable insights.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including but not limited to data domains, data product teams, sourcing teams, data management teams, CDO office, business units, policy teams, implementation and application teams, and technology functions.
- Champion innovation to enhance governance, minimise rework and compliance risk, drive automation and optimise planning within our data domain.
- Make an impact by being part of a pioneering team shaping the future of finance and risk requirements management and data driven steering.
Requirements
- Tech-savvy problem solver, exhibiting a high level of proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL and coding best practices.
- Affinity towards technical topics including automation tools, LLM and AI-driven solutions and eagerness to learn and develop in this area.
- Experience in working on Azure, Databricks or similar cloud platforms is a plus.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to engage stakeholders from various functions.
- Knowledge of, or eager to learn about the financial sector and/or banking products.
- Understanding of data governance and data management best practices, and the requirements in these areas from the regulator.
- Experience with metadata management and ETL processes, data modelling, and regulatory reporting practices.
