Your Job
As a data scientist, in the Grid Channel Security, you will work together with fraud experts and data scientists to safeguard our customers from criminals. This includes threats such as phishing, account takeover, lost or stolen debit cards, e-commerce fraud, and more. Your role will encompass analyzing diverse data sources to get actionable insights. This analysis will include, but not be limited to, understanding fraud trends across various payment channels, evaluating the potential of different data fields to enhance our fraud detection, recognizing seasonal patterns, and creating reliable forecasts. Your contributions will extend beyond immediate solutions, serving as a catalyst for ongoing improvements in our fraud detection capabilities through model experimentation and the integration of new data elements. In addition to your focused problem-solving efforts, you will be collaborating with others to brainstorm how data science solutions can help us stay one step ahead of criminals in the ongoing cat-and-mouse game.
Working Environment
Grid Channel Security within Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) is responsible for the prevention and detection of payment fraud, and deciding the policy and strategy in the area of fraud. The fraud detection team that you are going to be part of, is a motivated group of colleagues working with a focus on protecting customers. CISO is recognized as having an informal work atmosphere where everyone has a heart for their job and is prepared to help others.
Your Profile
- You have a masterβs degree or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, etc.).
- You have 1-3 years of industry experience, working on different aspects of data science β exploratory data analysis, statistics, model development, experimentation, and data visualization.
- You have a strong working knowledge of Python, SQL, and Spark.
- You enjoy solving complex technical puzzles and are value-focused.
- You excel at clearly communicating your work to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
