We are hiring for a data scientist to work on our business products (Perplexity Enterprise Pro, Sonar API, Ads). As an early member of the Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and company. Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering, product, sales and business development teams to drive data-driven decision making
  • Analyze user behavior to uncover insights that shape product roadmap
  • Support Enterprise Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies with data-driven insights
  • Design, execute and analyze A/B tests to validate hypotheses and improve our product
  • Define, implement and visualize key business metrics from feature-level KPIs to company-wide dashboards
  • Build data models and tables to improve analytics efficiency and data accessibility

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working as a data scientist or related role
  • Experience working on a B2B product
  • SQL expert
  • Extensive experience building dashboards with BI tools (e.g., Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker)
  • Take ownership and are a self-starter who thrives with open-ended problems
  • Some experience with data modeling (e.g., dbt, airflow)

Bonus

  • Experience with B2B Go-to-Market (GTM) analytics
  • Experience with advertising data and metrics
  • Worked at a high-growth startup in an early stage data science role
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and data engineering/analytics engineering
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Comfortable with Python for data analysis
  • Machine learning experience

The cash compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
