This role will thus span the realms of both data science and data engineering.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual who thrives on creating future-proof solutions, starting from data science requirements and mapping them to the necessary data. You have a strong ability to design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines that flow into data science solutions. You excel at devising ways to enhance data solutions that minimize technical debt and boost efficiency.
You champion the best practices in data management across teams, ensuring that industry standards are effectively applied. You can simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and collaborate seamlessly within a team. You take pleasure in mentoring others and working at the intersection between teams.
You enjoy staying abreast of the latest advancements and trends in data science, data engineering, and related technologies, and share your knowledge with others.

Requirements

Must haves:
β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate complex data into actionable insights
β€’ Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modelling techniques
β€’ Proficiency in Python, SQL and PySpark programming languages, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code
β€’ Ability to create, manage, and schedule jobs in Databricks for automated data processing and analytics
β€’ Experience with Databricks notebooks, clusters, and workflows
β€’ Experience in data modelling, including the design and implementation of relational and non-relational databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization
β€’ Proven experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes
β€’ An understanding of data warehousing concepts, principles, and best practices

The "nice to haves":
β€’ Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
β€’ An interest in machine learning engineering
β€’ Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, and business units
β€’ Good understanding of the Dutch language
β€’ Experience in the financial domain, especially human resources or marketing are a plus.

Benefits

The gross monthly salary is € 5.112 - € 7.303 based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary, allowing you to acquire additional employment benefits.
Five weeks of vacation per year with the option to purchase an additional four weeks.
Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which can accumulate up to € 3,000.
