We are looking for a passionate and experienced Data Steward to strengthen our team, implement proactive data improvements, and ensure robust data management and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data management policies to enhance data governance within the organization.
  • Independently initiate Data Quality (DQ) improvements using advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Manage extensive metadata and oversee data lifecycle processes, including data retention and archiving.
  • Refine policies and procedures for data access, ensuring robust data security and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote a data-driven culture through targeted training and workshops.
  • Take full responsibility for FDGM data products and use cases, from development to implementation and continuous improvement.

Note: The responsibilities include supporting the Definition of Default program, with key responsibilities like:

  • Assisting with technical analysis of DQ issues and data gaps.
  • Coordinating DQ issues and helping resolve them.
  • Defining data products for the DoD program.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in consulting, financial services, or payments.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Extensive experience with Data Management practices (e.g., DMBOK).
  • Familiarity with data tools (knowledge of Azure data products is a plus).
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, with outstanding teamwork and stakeholder interaction skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations such as BCBS239, Basel IV, and IFRS 9.
  • An analytical and critical mindset, structured and accurate work habits, proactive approach, and a strong business focus.
  • Experience in managing data compliance and governance, playing a strategic role in organizational projects.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and compliance challenges, with a growing role in interactions with auditors and compliance officers.
