ING Americas' Wholesale Banking Transaction Services is expanding its local cash management product offering in the United States. The Local Product Manager, Transaction Services (Cash Products) in New York is responsible for building local capabilities, unlocking business potential and activating new client/market opportunities for ING WB’s multinational corporate and financial institution customers operating in the United States. The role works closely with TS Product Managers, TS Sales, Client Services, Operations, IT, Risk Management and Delivery Management specialists. ING Americas follows a hybrid work model with in-office / work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Represent the voice of the customer and develop/maintain PCM (payments, cash management) offerings to attract and retain customers; collaborate closely with sales and bankers in the region.
- Design, develop and operate PCM solutions that integrate client value chains with internal and external capabilities.
- Ensure enhanced customer experience across the customer journey: pre-sales, onboarding and in-life management.
- Work with delivery management teams to integrate client value chains and connect internal/external capabilities.
- Take ownership of risk management, follow procedures to assess and mitigate financial and non-financial risk, and operate standardized business processes.
- Maintain a focus on cost efficiency and competitive positioning in the market.
- Set priorities based on customer needs supported by business cases for product development and change.
- Participate in high-performing teams and remove impediments.
- Execute risk & control compliance and mitigate business and operational risks.
- Maintain contact with external parties and stakeholders (suppliers, industry experts, consultants, regulators).
- Collect industry trends and information relevant to the role.
- Develop and propose strategies for project-related tasks and initiatives, including evaluating potential impact of IT changes and migrations on clients.
- Represent Wholesale Banking Transaction Services in Incident Management processes and advise on follow-up actions and client communication.
Requirements
- Higher education (Bachelor's or Master's), preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- 10+ years of experience servicing and advising multinational clients in Transaction Services in the United States, including Payments, Channels, Cash & Liquidity and Trade.
- Very strong knowledge of the US payment landscape and payment types; subject matter expertise in FedWire payments, ACH payments, direct payments, local reporting formats.
- Sound understanding of daily banking products (Cash and Trade), client servicing and related client needs.
- Proven track record in product and/or program management; ability to steer and guide large and complex projects or changes.
- Entrepreneurial mindset combining client focus with delivery power.
- Strong organizational sensitivity; ability to navigate a global organization with multiple functional and hierarchical lines and manage conflicting interests.
- Style flexibility to adapt approach and behaviour to different teams and situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate with senior client representatives and a variety of internal stakeholders.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $195,000 - $247,000 (base salary only).
- Eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
