Details

NVIDIA is seeking a dedicated Director of Workstation GPU System Software to join the team in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead development of driver and system software for NVIDIA RTX Pro workstation GPUs, driving next-generation GPU systems for professional graphics across industries such as automotive, healthcare, media & entertainment, movies, and architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to develop and optimize workstation GPU system software on Windows and Linux.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, product management, QA) to implement and deliver workstation solutions.
  • Define technical direction and roadmap for Workstation GPU system software; make strategic technical decisions.
  • Coordinate development from concept through final release, ensuring quality and performance.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Drive market requirements and participate in technical designs with internal and external partners in the workstation ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of proven experience leading engineering teams.
  • At least 15 years overall in a software development role.
  • Strong technical expertise in graphics APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL), GPU architecture, system software, and performance optimization.
  • Track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Ways to Stand Out

  • Strong background in Vulkan and OpenGL driver development.
  • Experience driving bring-up and problem solving of GPUs.
  • Experience in the graphics workstation market.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD (final base salary determined by location, experience, and pay of similar positions).
