- Design and run engineering processes such as postmortem review, incident response, and on-call rotations
- Coach and support direct reports to pursue their professional growth
- Run the team's recruiting efforts, including designing interview loops, evaluating candidates, and closing offers
- Set technical and team direction to enable efficient development of internal tools, front-end and back-end systems, and data collection pipelines
Requirements
- At least 2 years of management experience and demonstrated enjoyment of people management
- Strong experience building internal tools and working with tool users to understand needs
- Ability to understand a wide range of complex technical systems at a high level
- Interest in how humans interact with AI systems and designing experiences that elicit high-quality data
- Experience working with research teams (especially human-in-the-loop systems or data collection pipelines) is strongly preferred
- Background building user-facing applications involving complex UI interactions or annotation workflows is a plus
- Strong project management skills: prioritization, communicating across team/org boundaries
- Experience recruiting and predicting staffing needs
- Education: at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $405,000 - $485,000 USD
