Team Description

The Wallets umbrella enables Coinbase users worldwide to interface with over 60 blockchains through high throughput blockchain integrations. The liquidity and bridging team manages services orchestrating liquidity movements for Coinbase's custodial products, ensuring sub-second liquidity, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and strategy for the liquidity and bridging platform, aligning engineering goals with company objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define roadmap priorities and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Drive engineering execution ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality systems.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team fostering career growth, technical excellence, and engagement.
• Cultivate a collaborative culture with strong ownership.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years engineering management experience.
• Strong understanding of high-quality code and effective software engineering processes.
• Execution-focused mindset capable of delivering results in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with short-term planning.
• Experience delivering and operating large-scale multi-tenant distributed systems.
• Hands-on capability including coding, technical documentation, on-call participation, and incident leadership.
• Passionate about building an open financial system.
