Team Description
This team is responsible for how Coinbase interfaces with high throughput blockchains, serving millions of users. The Wallets umbrella supports 60+ blockchains globally. The liquidity and bridging team manages services orchestrating liquidity movements for Coinbase's custodial products, ensuring sub-second liquidity, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive long-term vision and strategy for the liquidity and bridging platform aligned with company goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define roadmap priorities and translate business needs into technical execution.
- Lead engineering execution for timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure systems.
- Mentor and foster career growth and technical excellence within the engineering team.
- Promote a collaborative engineering culture emphasizing ownership.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years engineering management experience.
- Strong understanding of high-quality code and effective engineering processes.
- Execution-focused mindset able to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
- Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term planning.
- Experience creating and operating multi-tenanted distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on when necessary: writing/reviewing code, technical documentation, on-call rotations, incident leadership, and bug triage.
- Passionate about building an open financial system via blockchain and crypto technologies.
