Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager Asset Lifecycle Management & Development, you will play a crucial role in shaping Eneco’s engineering landscape. You will lead a talented team of SAP Enterprise Asset Management experts and OutSystems engineers, working closely to design and deliver smart, future-proof solutions. Your leadership ensures projects are delivered on time, aligned with Eneco’s strategic ambitions, and continuously improving to support the energy transition. You will oversee daily operations, guide strategic initiatives, and ensure engineering excellence across the full lifecycle of asset management solutions:

• Overseeing the Asset Management engineering team’s daily operations, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
• Collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements and objectives.
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets for successful delivery.
• Driving adoption of best practices in Asset Management, including testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team, building a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams (> 5 years experience noted).
• Solid technical background in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP PM/PS); experience with SAP Asset Manager and SAP Field Service Management is a plus.
• Experience with OutSystems development and managing OutSystems engineers.
• Hands-on understanding of GIS and geospatial data modelling and API integration (supporting initiatives in the GIS and Asset Management domain).
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring and developing others.

Where you’ll work / Team

You’ll be part of a dynamic team of 10+ engineers within Eneco’s Digital & Tech domain. Collaboration is emphasised through workshops, hackathons, and day-to-day problem solving. The role includes responsibility for budgets, vendor relationships and delivering business value across asset lifecycle management.

Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €132.000 and €145.000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
• FlexBudget (can be paid out, used for extra holiday days, or saved).

• Hybrid working: 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
