Details

For three decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics. With our invention of the GPU - the engine of modern visual computing - the field has expanded to encompass gaming, artificial intelligence, media and entertainment, product design, healthcare and many other areas of scientific research. Today, visual computing is becoming increasingly central to how people interact with technology, and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

We are now looking for an Event Tech Ops Network Engineer: A cool, fun, technical individual who will be working with the Marketing and IT teams on NVIDIA’s latest products. This unique role requires a person who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and can adapt to a variety of challenges. This role requires travel to tradeshows, product launches and even working behind the scenes at our CEO’s Keynotes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and coordinate the implementation of network topologies in support of defined requirements for events and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with multiple business units such as marketing, engineering and IT for product testing, demos and requirements gathering.
  • Conduct thorough network testing and benchmarking of demos, including gathering and interpreting packet / data captures and report findings to the larger team.
  • Validate requirements, define scope, develop project and run-of-show schedules, and produce detailed designs for assigned events / network deployments.
  • Collaborate with and manage outside partners, vendors, and venues to deliver a stable network environment in temporary locations.
  • Plan for contingencies and demonstrate the ability to transition quickly between multiple technical issues. Solve problems with time frames in minutes or hours, not days or weeks.
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems. Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly challenging problems and compatibility issues.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors to obtain the best pricing while meeting the defined requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation detailing configuration of deployed solutions.
  • Document logistics requirements for domestic and international shipping.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience plus 5+ years progressive experience in a network engineering support environment.
  • Expertise in IP routing and LAN Switching, including design, deployment, and management.
  • Strong working experience with Wi-Fi design, implementation and optimization.
  • Dynamic IP Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Experience with building DMVPN and site-to-site IPSEC VPNs is required.
  • High Availability protocols (HSRP, VRRP).
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including SSL VPN, security policies, zones, sub-interfaces, and rate-limiting via QoS profiles and policies.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% (local and international) for event setup, support and teardown (up to 14 day increments).
  • Be able to lift / move objects in excess of 40 lbs on a frequent basis.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for equity and benefits. You will be part of a diverse workforce, an equal opportunity employer, and part of a dynamic environment that fosters creativity and autonomy.
