Expected salary: 13000 – 25000 PLN gross

Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), preferably in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps-oriented roles
- Practical experience building or maintaining platforms on GCP using managed services such as Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, Vertex AI, GCS or similar
- Hands-on experience with Golang — this is a must-have; concrete examples such as CLI tools, microservices, automation services, provisioning tools, APIs, integrations, or concurrency-based implementations are expected
- Infrastructure as Code mindset and practical experience with Terraform
- Experience with deployment and provisioning automation, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, observability and basic production troubleshooting
Extra (nice-to-have)
- Experience with secure authentication and encrypted workloads (e.g., OIDC, KMS, SSL/TLS)
- Experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing on GCP
- Experience supporting internal platform users or tenants
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain components of ING’s Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud
- Develop Golang-based infrastructure automation services and platform tooling
- Prepare cloud-ready and IaC-based solutions using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Support platform tenants and help them onboard smoothly
- Maintain and improve key platform components
- Contribute to platform architecture, standards and engineering practices
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging and alerting for platform services
- Support operational stability, including participation in on-call support where applicable
- Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists and platform users to deliver scalable, secure and cost-efficient cloud solutions
Information about the squad
We are building ING’s next-generation Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud. As a GCP Platform Engineer, you will join a distributed, multinational and multicultural team delivering scalable, secure and automated cloud solutions that enable data-driven products across ING.
The platform supports teams working with large amounts of data and modern analytics workloads. Our goal is to make cloud platform capabilities reliable, reusable and increasingly self-service for ING tenants.
You will work with modern cloud technologies, contribute to platform automation, and help develop the engineering foundations that allow ING to become even more data-driven. We value ownership, automation, curiosity and a practical engineering mindset. You will work in a highly skilled team where experimentation is encouraged, but production reliability, security and quality remain key.
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer IV”.
