Role overview
The Engagement Growth Marketing team sits at the intersection of marketing, product, engineering, and data science, shaping the guest journey and driving meaningful top-line impact. As the Growth Marketing Lead, Engagement (Guest), you’ll help re-engage and convert guests exploring their next trip on Airbnb. You’ll join a high-performing team focused on building deeply personalized lifecycle experiences powered by insights, data, and real-time guest signals.
The difference you will make
You will define and execute the lifecycle strategy that turns guest interest into bookings. You’ll lead personalized email and push programs that help guests find the right stays, experiences, and services. You’ll partner with Creative, MarTech, MarOps, Analytics, Data Science, Product, and PgM to build a roadmap grounded in guest insights, experimentation, dynamic content, and ML/AI-based decisioning—optimizing current programs and surfacing new opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to achieving ambitious growth targets.
You’ll bring strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and technical depth to turn insights into action. You’ll set clear priorities, align cross-functional partners, and ensure high-quality execution—while acting as a culture carrier who fosters a positive, collaborative, growth-minded team environment.
A typical day / Responsibilities
- Own and optimize lifecycle campaigns that guide guests to engage and convert on the right stays, experiences, and services.
- Lead execution of lifecycle initiatives, using performance insights to drive clear optimization and scaling decisions.
- Partner with Creative, MarTech, MarOps, Product, Analytics, DS, and PgM to uncover insights and activate high-impact guest opportunities.
- Shape personalization, experimentation, and journey design in partnership with MarTech and MarOps, leveraging data, content, and creative.
- Run cross-functional experiments and turn learnings into actionable roadmap updates and future lifecycle opportunities.
- Develop clear strategy and creative briefs that articulate campaign goals and technical, data, creative, and audience requirements.
- Align stakeholders on strategy and priorities, navigating differing perspectives with clarity and constructive communication.
- Stay focused and organized in a fast-moving environment, using strong prioritization to keep workstreams impactful.
- Work autonomously, learning tools and systems quickly and proactively moving work forward.
Requirements / Your expertise
- 10+ years of B2C CRM/lifecycle experience in fast-paced consumer or e-commerce environments with a track record of high-impact work.
- Deep understanding of CRM strategy, data, and lifecycle systems, translating business needs into technical, creative, and audience requirements.
- Exceptional prioritization and project management skills, able to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality execution.
- Thrives in ambiguity and change, showing resilience, adaptability, and steady leadership in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Proficient in SQL (able to pull queries) and skilled in analytical tools to interpret performance signals and inform strategy.
- A positive, collaborative culture carrier, bringing curiosity, optimism, and passion for lifecycle marketing to the broader team.
Location and work arrangement
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from.
Compensation & additional details
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$160,000—$200,000 USD
