Among our different teams, the Chief Business Officer organization plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and expansion efforts worldwide. Our teammates work on commercializing Airbnb’s new and existing businesses, helping Airbnb expand beyond its core offering as a place to stay. This includes recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and services, and executing Airbnb’s global in market strategy. With this focus on business strategy, quality supply and international expansion, the team is leading the way for Airbnb’s continued growth and facilitation of millions more host and guest connections.

The Difference You will Make:

As a Growth Strategy & Operations Lead for France, you will work with the Country Manager and Leadership team for France and Benelux (based in Paris) to develop and execute growth initiatives to accelerate Airbnb’s business in your market.

You will also align the functions operating in your country behind common objectives and manage business projects to drive direct impact on Airbnb’s demand and supply.

Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, organization and communication skills will all ensure you succeed. You love to work on multiple priorities, run complex workstreams in parallel and thrive in fast-paced, ever changing environments. You want a role where you will both define strategies then flawlessly execute them. You're equally comfortable presenting to leadership and managing the operational details of a project.

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, starting ASAP, based in our Paris office near Opera.

Responsibilities

  • Own the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional business initiatives end-to-end: define a clear problem statement, articulate the ideal solution, identify dependencies, work with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive post-mortems on learnings. Initiatives will span demand, supply, and regulatory surfaces of the business and include both tactical short-term wins and strategic long-term actions.
  • Support business growth and acceleration by sourcing and operating innovative levers: size, coordinate and operate pilots around topics such as traffic, CRM, growth marketing, new supply segments, distribution partnerships.
  • Drive regular business operation meetings and initiate meaningful conversations: organize and lead weekly meetings or working routines with cross-functional project teams (sales, marketing, product, community, legal) to keep initiatives on track and escalate when relevant.
  • Present analysis, insights and actionable plans to the Airbnb France leadership team to drive business decisions: merge available data sources and tools (internal and external), analyze macro and micro trends, frame a recommendation and implementation plan based on stakeholder consultation.
  • Collaborate daily with Leadership to monitor and report on business performance: work with France Country Manager, Business Operations Lead for EMEA and France, and Finance to understand key metrics, build performance narratives and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of work experience, preferably with experience in business consulting or Strategy and Operations in a start-up. Tech background is a plus.
  • Business background with understanding of operations and/or sales, growth marketing, and partnerships roles and responsibilities.
  • Strong project management experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments, ideally in tech companies or innovation business units. Mastery of project management frameworks and methodologies. Ability to frame issues and develop hypotheses to solve them and to organize and prioritize work across functions.
  • Analytical mindset, able to conduct end-to-end business analysis, leveraging Excel and AI tools. SQL or Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Hands-on approach and detail-oriented, with a 'getting things done fast' and learning-by-doing mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator with presentation and influence skills.
  • Fluent in French and professional English required.
  • Location: Paris based, willing to come frequently to the office.

Compensation & Additional Details

  • This role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
  • France Annual Pay Range: €98,000—€123,000 EUR
  • Fixed-term position for 12 months, based in the Paris office (near Opéra).
