Details
At Eneco, you will design and operate the systems that make access reliable, auditable, and automated across a complex IT and OT landscape. You will work in the Workplace & Identity Governance team as an IAM & Identity Governance Engineer, owning identity lifecycle logic, governance, and automation that supports the energy transition.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions, primarily using SailPoint.
- Integrate applications and systems (cloud and on-prem) through APIs, connectors, and custom workflows.
- Own joiner, mover, and leaver processes end-to-end, driving automation and reducing manual risk.
- Implement and improve RBAC models, perform role mining, and define lifecycle policies.
- Run access reviews and recertification campaigns; strengthen segregation of duties (SoD) controls.
- Support compliance by embedding controls for frameworks such as ISO 27001, J-SOX, and NIS2 into system design.
- Improve IAM processes, usability, and scalability across the organization.
- Support incident response and resolve identity-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–7+ years of experience in IAM / IGA engineering in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint (other IGA platforms are a plus).
- Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, access governance, and RBAC/ABAC models.
- Experience with directory services (Entra ID, Active Directory, LDAP).
- Experience integrating systems via APIs, connectors, or custom workflows.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Java) for automation and integration.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, J-SOX, or NIS2.
Where you’ll work
You will be based at Eneco’s Rotterdam HQ with flexible hybrid working (work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly). The role is within Eneco’s Digital & Tech domain, in the Workplace & Identity Governance capability. The systems you build will span IT and OT environments and have real-world impact on renewable energy operations.
