With an increased appetite for consuming data and regulatory pressure to demonstrate data quality coverage we need to maintain high standards in Data Quality. Global Data Quality function is responsible for operationalizing ING Data Quality strategy, translating into services and executing globally in order to ensure we maintain those high standards for ING data across the globe. As an intern in the Global Data Quality team, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities and will contribute greatly to ING’s data quality ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Data Quality Issue Management: Examine and improve the data quality issue management process by outlining necessary communications and escalations to ensure timely resolution of data quality issues.
  • Reporting Process Improvement: Enhance the reporting process for issue management and remediation by developing clear, concise, and effective reporting mechanisms to track and communicate the status of data quality issues.
  • Communication Strategy Development: Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote data quality initiatives and updates within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with colleagues in the Netherlands, ING hub locations, and ING business lines and countries to ensure clear and effective communication regarding data quality standards and practices.
  • Content Creation: Create and manage content for internal communications, including newsletters, reports, and presentations, to keep the organization informed about data quality efforts and achievements.
  • Project Support: Provide support for various data quality projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with ING's data quality strategy.

This position provides a broad insight across the global ING organization and requires someone who combines common sense, curiosity, and maturity with excellent judgment, discretion, and integrity. The ideal candidate is a self-directed executor who helps orchestrate progress effectively in front of and behind the scenes. Strong communication skills are a must as well as being comfortable with ambiguity and high work pressure. Because you never shy away from a challenge, you take the wheel in the planning and coordination of initiatives and projects and act as the linking pin to other business units and global functions.

Furthermore, you are/have:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in data quality and data management is a plus.
  • Creative and critical mindset with a passion for establishing community feeling & bring people together.
  • Highly analytical, bring structure and cut to the (real) issue fast.
  • You bring organizational sensitivity, able to work with the various stakeholders in a global setting.
  • Enthusiastic, willing to help others to be successful and always a step ahead.
  • Have a passion for numbers; Excel and PowerPoint have no more secrets. Eye for detail.
  • Serves as an example of giving and receiving feedback and acts upon it. Challenges and improves own work and that of colleagues continuously and is an ambassador for continuous improvement.
