The Non-financial Risk & Compliance Area is responsible for the development and support of a significant list of applications that are used for ING’s Non-financial Risk and Compliance functions. There is a variety of applications, including SaaS, in-house built and configuration-based. The area lead is responsible as IT Custodian for all applications.
The nature of the applications is, in general, high requirements on confidentiality of the data and therefore on security and user access management. Lesser emphasis on availability requirements as these applications are not customer-facing.
The delivery is done in a tribe set-up with COO Risk. There are 4 chapters, with the workforce distributed over Netherlands, ING Hub Romania, and ING Hub Manilla and SSI.
The Challenges of the NFRC & Compliance Area
The NFR&C Tribe and Area operate in a demanding environment where consolidation and standardization is the common denominator. For several functional areas the target architecture is under review, possibly leading to significant change to be executed.
The first key requirement is that we need an experienced IT manager who is eager and capable to learn the environment, and grow professionally as manager and as IT specialist.
On top of that, the focus will be on:
- Strong technical background as ING needs for positions in Tech at every level.
- Stakeholder management and building strong working relationships with COO Risk and the Non-financial risk functions are essential for success.
- A background in banking is a plus.
- Experience in working in an international global environment, being able to work smoothly cross-border.
- Good delivery track record, entrepreneurial. Inspirational, leader, accessible and enthusiastic.
