Are you a Java Developer who likes to work on innovative solutions? Then we need your help in making ABN AMRO a personal bank in a digital age.

Role overview

You will work in your own DevOps block on developing and maintaining good quality and future-proof IT solutions. You will be part of the CIF1 scrum team (Customer Identity Foundation Services), responsible for handling customer authorization requests and acting as an authorization broker between business applications and different authorization sources within ABN AMRO.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java code and microservices.
  • Educate yourself on technical capabilities and the latest innovations; actively participate in knowledge sharing and communities.
  • Ensure code is safe, secure and working; participate in peer reviews and accept/give feedback.
  • Push the limits of technology and focus on holistic solutions for authorization and identity problems.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and quality tooling adoption across teams.

Requirements

Must haves:

  • At least 5+ years of software development experience in Java (preferably Java 17).
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience developing microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot and at least some experience with JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, consuming SOAP services and REST APIs.
  • At least 3+ years of experience with CI tools such as SonarQube, Fortify and Nexus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Required soft skills:

  • Open to giving and receiving direct feedback.
  • Strong focus on quality; challenge colleagues during peer reviews.
  • Willingness to speak up and challenge decisions constructively.

Nice to haves:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch.
  • A relevant degree in Computer/Information Science.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps and security frameworks.

Working environment

  • Salary: €5.112 - €7.303 per month (Hay scale 10; based on knowledge and experience).
