Imagine joining the Integration Area, where you can develop solutions that will support the exchange of billions of data records between systems globally within Rabobank. As Java DevOps Engineer, you develop and support Integration features following our Architecture principles and guidelines. In your team you have a squad with a PO, a SM, other DevOps Engineers, and a Solution Architect.
PracticalExamples
- We have developed a custom File Transfer Solution based in Java and Apache Camel that manages file transfers using multiple connectors – such as SFTP, SMB, BLOB, AWS and more.
- We offer a self-service portal (UI) – based in Angular – where teams can manage their File Transfers
- We support environments on-prem and we are designing a solution for cloud environment.
- We encourage ‘bottom up’ decision making, and we offer mechanisms and room for engineers and architects to actively engage with the decisions we make.

- Create an easy-to-use service, so teams can create and manage their own file transfers.
- Make sure that our File Transfer Management Solution is implemented and conforms to the Architectural principles and standards of Rabobank, by doing so, you run all operations that keeps our platform up and running with high availability.
- Advise on an individual or group basis - by providing training and demos – on how to use our UI interfaces and in which file transfer patterns.
- Embrace the DevOps way of working by actively supporting your colleagues on developing, testing, deploying, and supporting a solid solution.

You and your talent
- A Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant area.
- You have a strong experience with development in Java.
- You know, preferably have experience with the Apache Camel library.
- Developing and testing applications that need to persist data to a database or message broker is an “easy busy” for you.
- You have a good experience with at least one of the following java frameworks: Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- You have a good experience with at least one of the following container technologies: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Container Instance, Docker.
- You have good experience with at least one of the following technologies: Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- You work Agile and you’re willing to certify yourself as DevOps Engineer.
- Are you familiar with front-end development in Angular? That's a plus!
- You bring with you the DevOps ‘way of working’, so building, testing, and supporting is what makes your energy up in your work daily.
- You are customer focused and able to appreciate the bigger picture.
- You are not afraid to put forward your ideas but are also good at listening to the ideas of others.
A salary between €4,292 and €6,131 gross per month means up to €100,000 per year, including all benefits, based on knowledge and experience for a 40-hour work week (scale 9).
