Role Overview
This role supports Airbnb’s new business extensions beyond the core stays business by analyzing supply and demand across countries, travel corridors, and customer segments. The focus is on data analysis, metric definition, benchmark creation, experimentation, and generating insights for prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights informing strategic decisions across key geographical markets.
- Collaborate with new business teams to provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
- Analyze data to understand drivers of bookings, attach rate, revenue, profitability, occupancy, rebooking rate, churn, and other metrics.
- Define new metrics and identify leading indicators of business outcomes.
- Build dashboards tracking key performance metrics and benchmarks.
- Conduct A/B testing to improve business performance and maximize incrementality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience.
- Degree in a quantitative field (Masters or PhD preferred) such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research.
- Experience in advanced analytics or business data science in marketplace or business strategy settings.
- Deep understanding of econometric and statistical analysis.
- Exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Agile, growth-minded approach demonstrated by driving projects from ideation to impact.
Benefits
- Base pay range: $157,000 to $188,000 USD.
- Eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- Remote eligible in the United States (with certain state restrictions).
