A highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Lead Analyst, Advanced Analytics, Payments Insights. In this role, you will play a critical part in executing the strategic direction of Airbnb's Payments operations.
Responsibilities
- Enable, facilitate, and assist in streamlining integrated data-driven decision making across the Payments Platform, Product, Operations organizations.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to receiving and processing funds.
- Oversee the day to day operations in partnership with finance across collection, reconciliation and settlement.
- Generate payment reports and analyze payment data for insights and performance evaluation.
- Assist with analyzing payment performance and health, triaging issues, and providing recommendations on optimization.
- Collaborate on Financial Risk Management including losses, chargebacks and other cost components.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the payments landscape.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business analytics and a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field.
- Expert skills in SQL and at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R).
- Experience with non-experimental causal inference methods, experimentation, and machine learning techniques.
- Ability to work under conditions of ambiguity in a fast-growth environment.
Benefits
- The base pay range is $155,000 — $187,000 USD.
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
