Digital Workplace is responsible for the Modern Digital Workplace within ABN AMRO (30.000+ seats). We operate from the Netherlands and have our business users both inside and outside the Netherlands. We deliver not only the workplace devices but also a full suite of services to the standard workplace. ABN AMRO embraces the new way of working in a hybrid way. We enable and support our business users to work faster and smarter with tools we provide, for this we enabled a business implementation team that educates business users to be efficient and use the full potential of the Modern Digital Workplace. Microsoft 365 is one of the primary enablers of our workplace infrastructure.

Your Job

The Platform Engineer will be a member of the Social Collaboration team - a dedicated DevOps IT delivery team (Block). The Platform Engineer works towards the delivery of new technology and services and keeps existing services available. The Platform Engineer collaborates with the Process and Project enabler, Product Owner and other Platform Engineers within the Block but also with Solution Architects and colleagues from other Blocks. The Platform Engineer will have a developer role within Azure services which extends to M365 services.

The role is based in the Netherlands, in an international context working with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds. Social Collaboration is part of the Digital Workplace Grid which delivers workplace services to the 30.000+ employees of ABN AMRO worldwide. The Social Collaboration team delivers the workplace's social platform (Viva Engage), file collaboration and information sharing (SharePoint Online and OneDrive), video (Clipchamp, Stream, Kaltura), email and productivity functions.

Working Environment

Within ABN AMRO, we are expanding the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform to support the business users in various areas, based on their use cases, requirements, and expectations. SharePoint Online serves as the main service for M365 products. Within the Social Collaboration team, we monitor, control and develop SharePoint Online services for ABN AMRO. As Platform Engineer, you will develop and maintain services to extend the M365 platform. Automation and deployment services are developed and hosted on Azure. You must be familiar with governance processes and be risk aware when developing services for financial institutions.

We are looking for you if you are experienced in developing in Azure and Microsoft 365 to support different M365 services, eager to explore new possibilities on cloud services, have proven skills within the M365 product suite, and have helped other companies excel on their M365 journey. You need to be open in communication and have a collaboration attitude.

Your Profile

The job requires the following skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience on the M365 platform:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on M365 (must)
  • Knowledge of M365, its features & potential (must)
  • Development capabilities on Azure and M365/SharePoint Online (must)
  • Knowledge of M365 Teams, Outlook, and Windows concepts (must)
  • Knowledge of Azure concepts like networking, resource groups, pipelines, ARM/Bicep (must)
  • Experience with development (Azure functions, PowerShell, PnP module, C#, YAML, Visual Studio Code, repos, branching, CI/CD) (must)
  • DevOps way of working (should have)
  • Able to communicate in Dutch with solution architects, IT specialists, and business users (should have)
  • Able to translate business processes into M365 tools (should have)
  • Able to write and speak in English and Dutch (must)

We Are Offering

  • The gross monthly salary is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
