Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The Manager of the Applied AI Architect, Enterprise Tech (Cyber) team will drive adoption of Anthropic's products (Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and API) across enterprise technology companies and digital-first organizations. This role combines technical leadership, pre-sales technical strategy, team building, and close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering to enable safe, reliable AI deployments in enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Applied AI Architects, Enterprise Tech (Cyber), providing technical guidance and career development
- Set goals and conduct reviews for the team to promote growth and output
- Work with highest-value Enterprise Tech customers on AI adoption strategies, focusing on pre-sales technical excellence including use case scoping, technical champion building, and POC execution
- Partner with GTM leadership to understand customer requirements and co-build GTM strategies for the Enterprise Tech (Cyber) segment
- Own technical portions of pre-sales engagements: deliver demos, validate enterprise ROI for Anthropic products
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to influence and unify stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
- Travel occasionally for executive-level sessions, technical workshops, and relationship building
- Establish vision, strategy, and execution for solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI in technology products
- Lead innovative solution design that leverages latest model capabilities for tech-forward use cases
- Contribute to thought leadership through conferences, webinars, and technical content
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML trends and the competitive landscape in enterprise tech
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role
- 3+ years of technical go-to-market (GTM) management experience, specifically managing pre-sales teams
- Experience working with and selling to digital-native customers (vertical/horizontal Enterprise SaaS, consumer technology, PaaS, etc.)
- Familiarity with enterprise technical procurement processes and unique technical requirements of enterprise tech companies
- Deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI deployments, API integrations, and production LLM use cases
- High-level familiarity with architecture and operation of large language models and/or ML in general
- Experience with prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, and architecting AI-powered systems
- Strong communication, collaboration, coaching abilities, and executive presence
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and to build teams in unstructured contexts
- Understanding of developer tooling, SDKs, and common technical integration patterns in enterprise tech
Strong candidates may have
- 5+ years leading solution architect teams through hypergrowth, managing both senior and junior talent at scale
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and enterprise integration patterns, plus proven C-level engagement in large technical evaluations and enterprise sales cycles
- Multi-segment GTM experience adapting technical approaches across customer segments and deal sizes
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $270,000 - $345,000 USD
Logistics
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience
- Location-based hybrid policy: staff expected to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time (some roles may require more)
- Visa sponsorship: Anthropic states they sponsor visas and retain an immigration lawyer; they note sponsorship cannot be guaranteed for every role/candidate but reasonable efforts will be made if an offer is extended
