NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work.

We are seeking a Manager of Software Performance within the Autonomous Vehicles organization. In this role, you will drive the strategic scaling of performance engineering efforts across the full portfolio of NVIDIA DRIVE Autonomous Solutions (NDAS) products, spanning multiple customer programs and hardware generations. Your mission will be to cultivate and grow a deeply collaborative group that operates optimally across Product, Functions, Safety, Operating Systems & Middleware, and next-generation hardware teams — ultimately enabling the highest-quality autonomous driving experience NDAS can deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the strategic execution roadmap, ensuring scalability across diverse product lines, release timelines, emerging customer engagements, and next-generation hardware platforms.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Performance Engineers in day-to-day execution, driving timely NDAS releases aligned with OEM partner roadmaps.
  • Improve performance engineering workflows and processes to foster a scalable, organization-wide performance culture.
  • Partner proactively with OEM customers, algorithm teams, OS, and hardware groups to establish a cohesive long-term architecture and technical vision for NDAS.
  • Provide regular, transparent communication of program status, risks, and key issues to leadership and multi-functional collaborators.

Requirements

  • 8+ overall years recent Software Engineering experience driving the planning and execution of software engineering projects and releasing commercial products.
  • At least 4 years of Software team management experience.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Experience leading successful releases with short release cadence in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to understand and collaborate across complex technical software stacks and their interdependencies in large organizations.
  • Proven record of leading and successfully delivering organization-wide programs and projects as well as process improvements.

Preferred / Ways to stand out

  • Software management or systems engineering experience for large-scale mission/safety critical systems, specifically with autonomous vehicles, avionics, or robotics.
  • Software performance optimization exposure, especially in Embedded/Real-time Systems, GPU/CUDA optimizations or C++ algorithmic optimizations.
  • Strong grasp of Computer Architecture & Operating System concepts.
  • Exposure to developing or delivering deep learning projects on Embedded Systems / NVIDIA DRIVE platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range (determined by location, experience, and comparable pay):
    • Level 3: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
    • Level 4: 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD
