The Backend guild's main responsibility is to have stable, reliable and fast cloud for data storage. We provide platform to have secure data synchronisation between all NordPass applications and web based systems. We get to touch not only server, but also client side: we’re responsible for encrypting, handling and synchronizing data between frontend application and our cloud - this is done through background application which lives in all of our clients computers. Democracy helps us to be not one-men-opinion team. Everybody’s experience, suggestions and ideas are discussed at team level to reach best results and stay away from code smells.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Backend solutions based on serverless infrastructure using the latest .NET technologies for leading cyber security company;
  • Apply the latest development practices and software design patterns;
  • Develop software with scalability, robustness, and performance in mind;
  • Facilitate technical discussions and workshops;
  • Participate in the hiring process;
  • Contribute to technical decisions and architecture solutions;
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

  • Experience with .NET Core and containerized applications;
  • Understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, RESTful API design;
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases;
  • Ability to make a technical decision and take responsibility;
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually;
  • Well-founded experience in working with agile development methodologies and a genuinely agile mindset.

Bonus Points For

  • Work knowledge and experience with distributed software using cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), Docker, and a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes, etc.) is a bonus;
  • Familiarity with observability technologies such as ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar;
  • Experience with message brokers (i.e., SQS, EventBridge);
  • Work knowledge of OpenID, OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.;
  • Knowledge of encryption algorithms.
