Details
NVIDIA is seeking an AI-first Program Manager to lead and expand the Sustainability Series focused on collaborative and diverse software projects. This role combines shared software strategy, community development, industry partnership, and AI-native program operations. The Program Manager will architect and operate two flagship programs — the FOSS Fund and the Volunteer Contribution Sprint Series — and will build AI agents and automated workflows to scale program operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee AI agents and automation that handle recurring workflows such as research, reporting, outreach preparation, partner intelligence, and documentation. Build repeatable systems with transparent human review stages.
- Use AI tools to generate first drafts of reports, maintainer briefs, benchmark analyses, event preparation materials, and impact narratives; design an AI-native operating model where the Program Manager supervises agents and systems.
- Lead the full quarterly FOSS Fund cycle: nominations, selection committee coordination, disbursement, and impact reporting. Use AI-assisted research to identify strategically important software projects for NVIDIA support.
- Partner with OSS maintainers and project leads to understand funding needs, project health, governance, and ecosystem relevance.
- Evolve the fund model over time (award size, recurring/multi-year support, budget growth) and benchmark NVIDIA’s approach against peer industry programs; publish reusable insights.
- Manage the Contribution Sprint program end-to-end: partner outreach, project selection, cohort launch, execution, and post-sprint reporting. Scale from ~1 sprint/year to 3–4 annually by growing partners and projects.
- Coordinate legal agreements, shared frameworks, and industry-facing collaboration at events (e.g., LF Member Summit, Collaborative Technology Summit). Monitor sprint alumni, contributor retention, maintainer satisfaction, volunteer hours, merged PRs, and philanthropic dollars unlocked.
- Serve as the primary liaison among legal, finance, engineering, developer advocacy, and external partner groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in program management, partnership management, collaborative software projects, developer relations, or a related technology role.
- Demonstrated experience building repeatable initiatives from the ground up and collaborating across legal, finance, engineering, and external organizations.
- Clear track record of working directly with AI tools, agents, and automation to reduce manual efforts and scale programs.
- Ability to decompose ambiguous program workflows into repeatable systems supported by AI agents, automation, dashboards, and human review processes.
- Experience working with software foundations, communities, maintainers, or standards bodies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Ways to Stand Out
- Direct experience contributing to or managing publicly available software projects or communities.
- Experience building or managing AI agents, workflow automations, internal tools, or AI-assisted operating systems for program management.
- Familiarity with FOSS funding models, OSS governance structures, or foundation programs (Linux Foundation, OSI, PSF, NumFOCUS, etc.).
- Experience using AI for ecosystem research, collaborator mapping, reporting, CRM data maintenance, project monitoring, or community intelligence.
- Experience presenting or publishing at industry conferences (e.g., Summit on Open Technologies, All Things Open).
- Knowledge of NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platforms and associated software communities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD (actual base salary determined by location, experience, and comparable pay).
- Eligible for equity and benefits (link to NVIDIA benefits provided in the original posting).
Additional Information
- Applications accepted at least until May 5, 2026.
