You and your job

You will manage and operate (performance) testing for Rabobank applications that are running on or interacting with the mainframe. Availability, performance and security of services are operational priorities.

Next to that you will be building and maintaining an efficient and automated test environment, explore new possibilities and translate the needs of Rabobank application teams into solutions that fit within the architectural requirements of our bank. You make a difference by future proofing our landscape, working closely together with our business, business architect(s) and other teams within the bank.

The technical context

You work in a complex environment where mainframe, distributed- and cloud technologies must be seamlessly integrated. Mainframe applications are typically written in COBOL and running with CICS and DB2. Management and development technology is partially cloud and on prem x86 based. Among the test and test performing tools we currently use are LoadRunner, Azure DevOps, GIT, VS-Code and Python.

You and your talent

  • An HBO working and intellectual level
  • A broad experience with the IT-landscape in both mainframe and distributed technologies
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar function (DevOps Engineer Z/OS)
  • Practical experience with DB2, Azure DevOps, MQ, JCL, SQL, RACF, Urban Code Deploy, DataPower, VS-Code, Pipeline 2.0, CyberArk
  • Relevant experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps and financial services
  • Broader knowledge/experience on mainframe, communication & messaging, testing, stubbing Linux, software architecture, security principles, interface concepts, risk management concepts, development- & test methods
  • Not afraid to ‘get your hands dirty’ and become involved in complex analysis, solving urgent incidents and advise on implementation questions
  • Good communicator: ability to talk to senior management, business experts as well as developers and other team members
  • A pro-active mind-set, and you take ownership.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (preferable); speaking as well as writing
