The Trust & Safety team is responsible for creating a safe environment by building machine learning models to detect risk, defenses against risky actors, and operational tools for investigators globally. This team defines community standards and policies, protecting users from bots, fraudulent accounts, and account takeovers while maintaining a positive user experience.
The Difference You Will Make
As a Platform Product Manager for Account Integrity, you will lead the development and implementation of platform solutions addressing bot attacks, fake accounts, and account takeovers. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, designers, operations experts, and business lines to protect Hosts and guests. Responsibilities include defining vision and strategy, leading cross-functional teams, backlog and roadmap management, goal definition, alignment building, prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and stakeholder communication.
A Typical Day
- Creating vision and strategy for Trust & Safety products and platforms
- Leading cross-functional working groups
- Maintaining product backlog and roadmap prioritization
- Defining success metrics and OKRs
- Building alignment across teams and leadership
- Anticipating bottlenecks, balancing business and technical constraints
- Presenting roadmap and status updates
- Evaluating product opportunities and proposals
- Developing short-term plans aligned with long-term goals
- Becoming a thought leader within Airbnb
Your Expertise
- 8+ years product management experience
- Prior experience in security, trust, safety, risk, or fraud related product, operations, or engineering
- Outstanding communication skills to diverse stakeholders including C-level executives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with machine learning product or technical product management
- Skilled in design and hypothesis-driven product development
- Entrepreneurial drive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills across global teams
- Experience leading teams through ambiguity and high-stakes tradeoffs
Location
Remote eligible within the United States, with occasional office work or offsite attendance as agreed. Must reside in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity.
