The NVIDIA Cloud Engineering and Services (CES) team is seeking a principal software engineer/architect to own the design and implementation of a new greenfield service focused on fraud prevention and enhanced account protection! This role will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions to combat service abuse and implement powerful Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) strategies across our cloud platform. As the architect of this critical service, you will be responsible for creating a scalable, multi-tenant architecture that seamlessly integrates fraud detection mechanisms and sophisticated security features. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the integrity of our platform and safeguarding our diverse customer base, from startups to enterprise-level organizations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design a new greenfield service for fraud prevention and account protection, ensuring scalability and integration with existing NVIDIA Cloud services.
- Develop advanced algorithms and machine learning models to detect and prevent service abuse across tenant accounts.
- Design and implement innovative MFA solutions balancing security and user experience, potentially incorporating biometrics, behavioral analysis, or other cutting-edge authentication methods.
- Build robust APIs and services that enable real-time fraud detection and adaptive authentication challenges based on risk assessment.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards in fraud prevention and identity protection.
- Lead the development of tenant-aware fraud prevention strategies that can adapt to different customer profiles and usage patterns.
- Design systems for continuous monitoring and analysis of authentication patterns and potential fraud indicators across the platform.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent program from an accredited University / College or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years in architectural roles.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing security-focused services, particularly in fraud prevention and authentication systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cryptography, identity and access management, and modern authentication protocols.
- Expertise in data analysis and machine learning techniques applicable to fraud detection.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale software projects with a security focus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Experience with implementing adaptive MFA systems that balance security and user experience.
- Expertise in designing fraud detection systems that can operate at cloud scale.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Familiarity with behavioral biometrics and their application in authentication and fraud prevention.
- Experience with privacy-preserving technologies and their integration into authentication systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to fraud prevention and data protection (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications related to security, fraud prevention, or authentication.
- Experience with real-time data processing and analysis in the context of fraud detection and familiarity with blockchain or other distributed ledger technologies for enhancing security and traceability.
