Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Procurement is part of Stripe Finance and is responsible for the entire buying journey at Stripe. From sourcing new suppliers or renewing engagements with existing ones to facilitating purchase order approvals, paying valid supplier invoices, and managing Stripe's travel and expense program. The team also reviews and advises on contract structures and terms, conducts risk assessments to ensure suppliers meet Stripe's standards, and onboards suppliers for secure payment processing.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a strategic and data-oriented program manager to join our dynamic Procurement team. This role is crucial in managing end-to-end procurement processes, driving insights through data analytics, and executing major cross-functional programs that enhance our procurement ecosystem. As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing procurement operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions, and maturing our data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major cross-functional programs that drive improvements across the end-to-end procurement process, partnering with teams such as Finance, Operations, FinSys, and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Design and execute program plans with a focus on procurement excellence, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless execution
  • Serve as a thought leader by blending data-driven insights and strategic vision to optimize procurement systems, processes, and tools, fostering a continuous improvement culture
  • Build and maintain a suite of automated dashboards and data visualizations that empower stakeholders with real-time insights into procurement metrics, program performance, and progress against strategic goals
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize innovative procurement solutions, and drive implementation roadmaps and communication plans
  • Track and manage program performance through data and insights, creating governance structures to evaluate progress, measure success against key performance indicators, and ensure programs meet their objectives
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support specific procurement projects and initiatives, providing strategic recommendations based on quantitative data and qualitative insights
  • Lead cost-benefit analyses for potential procurement changes, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making
  • Drive Stripe-wide procurement program initiatives, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement function

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Proven analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • 5+ years of experience involving analytical rigor in fields such as procurement, finance, data science, strategy, or business operations
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) for managing large datasets and developing insightful reporting solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement principles and supply chain management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in conveying complex data insights effectively to various stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach, capable of working independently as needed

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in the FinTech industry
  • Educational background in Business, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is an advantage
  • Adaptability and comfort with changing requirements and priorities
  • An innovative mindset, with a willingness to challenge assumptions and drive strategic change through process improvements
  • Passion for building systems and solving challenges through infrastructure development and automation

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $117,800 - $176,700. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

We look forward to hearing from you

At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
