The Product Design department oversees the entire product development process or upgrades the existing product designs. By identifying and characterizing the issues, we design solutions scaling from technical to human-centered methods.

We're looking for a Mid-Senior Product Designer to join our Internal Projects squad within the NordVPN Design Team. Your primary role will involve solving design problems across different projects within the company, focused strongly on internal tools, admin panels, operational dashboards, control interfaces, and new product experiments. This role is perfect for a Product Designer passionate about designing complex yet intuitive internal tools, dashboards, and control panels. You will enjoy complete ownership, autonomy, and close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional team members.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype intuitive web interfaces, dashboards, and smooth, effective product experiences
  • Combine design thinking and brand guidelines to innovate while ensuring consistency and usability across the internal platforms
  • Collaborate with the wider Design Team to evolve internal design systems, ensuring visual cohesion and effective collaboration with engineering
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with product managers and stakeholders to understand business goals, user context, and internal requirements
  • Own every stage of the design cycle, from ideating solutions through polished user experience implementation
  • Conduct extensive product research, usability testing, and experiments to inform and validate design decisions
  • Participate actively in improving internal design processes, tooling, and design culture
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Provide and receive actionable feedback from teammates, stakeholders, and peers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product design experience building digital products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly conveying complex design concepts
  • Can-do attitude and strong sense of ownership towards the product
  • Use qualitative feedback and quantitative data to guide design decisions, focusing on user needs and business growth
  • Keen interest in cybersecurity, data privacy, and related fields
  • Comfort with the highly technical nature of Nord's products
  • Fluency in English
  • Portfolio and case studies demonstrating end-to-end product design work

Bonus Points

  • Basic technical understanding and familiarity with modern web technologies
  • Experience with user research methods, analytics, usability testing, user interviews, or related UX research techniques
