Details
Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.
At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and evolution of Glean's public APIs and SDKs, including versioning, deprecation, and backwards-compatibility promises.
- Define the developer experience end to end: authentication, onboarding, first-call experience, error handling, rate limiting, webhooks, and edge cases that affect adoption.
- Write code and build sample apps; run integrations and validate developer flows before customers do.
- Review and improve documentation with a developer's perspective; fix missing or misleading docs.
- Analyze support tickets and forum patterns; treat recurring questions as product/design defects.
- Set and defend metrics such as time-to-first-call, integration success rate, and API error rates that predict developer success.
- Lock API contracts and requirements before engineering begins and prevent scope creep during implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform, developer experience, API, SDK, or partnership-driven products.
- Strong technical background; comfortable working through API contracts, request payloads, logs, telemetry, and implementation tradeoffs with engineers.
- Experience building or leading APIs and SDKs that are robust, scalable, and easy for external developers to adopt.
- Strong product taste for developer interfaces, clear abstractions, consistent resource design, and machine-readable errors.
- Ability to think from a developer's point of view and identify confusing documentation, workflows, or product behavior.
- Experience working directly with customer and partner developers and translating their needs into platform products.
- Experience integrating with third-party enterprise applications and making integrations reliable in production.
- Clear writing skills, producing concise specs and accurate documentation.
- Ability to define success with metrics and track adoption, usability, and business impact for developer-facing products.
- Excitement about AI and motivation to help customers and partners build effectively with it.
