Bloomberg’s Core Terminal business delivers cross-asset data, analytics, and workflows through a unified platform used by the world’s leading financial institutions.

The Company Events ecosystem captures market-moving corporate activity, including earnings, dividends, conferences, M&A milestones, and shareholder meetings. These datasets support discovery, analysis, and decision-making across research, monitoring, and operational workflows. Bloomberg is investing in a unified and scalable representation of events that can be queried, combined, and reasoned on across BQL, ASKB, and downstream applications.

You will define and drive how Bloomberg’s event data powers AI-driven client experiences, primarily through ASKB and BQL. The role focuses on making event data discoverable, queryable, and usable by AI systems by shaping how datasets are modeled, connected, and exposed. You will focus on the Company Events domain while partnering with the Product Manager responsible for Corporate Actions to align both datasets into a cohesive events framework.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision for a unified events framework across Company Events and Corporate Actions.
• Establish common schemas, definitions, and semantics where appropriate.
• Align with the Corporate Actions product lead while preserving domain-specific workflows.
• Establish a scalable event data model covering entities, event types, key dates, status, sources, and confidence.
• Align structured and semi-structured data and provide clear source lineage and transparency.
• Drive development of a shared core events layer supporting consistent querying across datasets in BQL and ASKB.
• Enable reusable event definitions and semantics and scalable integration with downstream products.
• Collaborate with ASKB, BQL, AI platform, data modeling, and engineering teams.
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to evolve the architecture.
• Work with Transcript and content teams to integrate calls, transcripts, and presentations with event data for queryability.
• Engage Research, Sales, Analytics, Trading, Operations, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand event-data usage, identify workflow gaps, and validate product improvements.
• Communicate product vision, decisions, and trade-offs through roadmaps, presentations, and written updates.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management or a similar role translating client needs into solutions.
• Experience with events data.
• Experience working with data models, schemas, or data-intensive products.
• Familiarity with query-driven products or data access patterns, such as APIs and analytical query layers like BQL.
• Experience partnering with engineering and data teams on complex system design.
• Strong understanding of data semantics, normalization, and system boundaries.
• Proven ability to set strategy, prioritize effectively, and execute across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align teams with different objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with entity resolution, identifier mapping, and data lineage concepts.
• Exposure to high-scale data platforms and distributed data systems.
• Experience designing data for queryability and downstream consumption.
• Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across product, data, and engineering teams.

Annual salary range: USD 140,000–295,000, plus benefits and bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education or training, and skill level.
