Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home. The company has grown to over 5 million hosts and over 2 billion guest arrivals globally. The Product Marketing team creates product strategies by deeply understanding user needs and partnering with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, operations, and data science.

This role is part of the International Product Marketing team and supports product and marketing efforts outside the US. The Product Manager will be based in EMEA (London or Paris) and report to the Product Marketing Director for International Markets. The role involves understanding user needs in-market, translating insights into product features and marketing strategies, partnering with global and local teams, driving product launches and pilots, and shaping the organization in EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Build market and regional expertise through user research, marketplace data, and competitive analysis.
  • Articulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airbnb products and new businesses in your market/region.
  • Implement product development and management best practices.
  • Maintain and prioritize a product feature and roadmap plan in collaboration with local teams.
  • Advocate for and execute new products that deliver impact for users and the business.
  • Communicate concisely and influence outcomes across all company levels, including country and regional executive teams.
  • Drive alignment across product teams (Technology, Design) and cross-functional partners (Business, Supply, FP&A, Marketing, Global Operations, Customer Support, Trust, etc.).
  • Define goals and success with measurable objectives and key results for your area.
  • Build and integrate partnerships in your country/region to expand existing businesses and create new ones.
  • Navigate regulatory and government requirements in partnership with Policy/Comms and regions/markets.
  • Craft product narratives and marketing strategies in collaboration with communications and marketing partners.
  • Develop and deliver engaging product demos to press, showcasing key features and functionalities.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of product management experience.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language (strong preference for Spanish, French, or German).
  • Demonstrated track record of product leadership and success building and scaling global consumer products and ecosystems.
  • Comfortable as an individual contributor doing product management work.
  • Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media.
  • Entrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality; startup experience is a plus while being capable of operating in a larger organization.
  • Ability to effectively use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy and decisions.
  • Capable of driving execution across teams in a fast-paced environment; highly collaborative and results oriented.

Location

  • This role is based either in London (United Kingdom) or Paris (France), or within easy commuting distance of these cities.

Compensation (annual base pay ranges)

  • France Annual Pay Range: €98,000—€123,000 EUR
  • United Kingdom Annual Pay Range: £112,000—£140,000 GBP

The actual base pay is dependent upon factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
