About Glean:

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry's most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business.

At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering personalized, context-aware responses. This foundation powers agentic capabilities — AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing enterprise and world data, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time.

About the Role:

Glean is seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to help define and build our Growth product area. This role sits at the intersection of product-led growth (PLG), platform-level activation, off-surface engagement, and broader product growth strategy. You will own how Glean turns first-touch curiosity into durable, expanding usage — designing loops, surfaces, and experiences that drive activation, retention, and organic expansion across users and teams.

You will work closely with the Product lead and cross-functional partners across engineering, design, data, marketing, and GTM teams to identify the highest-leverage growth bets, bring structure to ambiguous opportunity spaces, and translate growth concepts into concrete, measurable product experiences. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience, a deep understanding of PLG and growth mechanics, a passion for AI, and the ability to demonstrate granular product implementation skills such as designing user interfaces, onboarding flows, and experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Growth, translating company vision into specific bets across activation, retention, and expansion informed by funnel data and experimentation.
  • Own the PLG motion end to end — acquisition, onboarding, activation, habit formation, and self-serve expansion — and design loops that turn individual adopters into team- and org-wide usage.
  • Build platform-level growth capabilities such as referrals, invitations, notifications, in-product education, and lifecycle messaging that compound across surfaces.
  • Drive off-surface growth by meeting users where they work — browser extension, email, Slack and Teams, mobile, and other entry points — so Glean stays present outside a single destination app.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data to turn ambiguous concepts into well-scoped products and experiments, with clear user flows, instrumentation, quality standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build a rigorous experimentation and measurement culture: define activation and retention metrics, instrument the funnel, and run A/B tests.
  • Balance long-term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points, strategic customer asks, and company priorities.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market, marketing, solutions, and support teams to ensure growth strategy reflects real customer adoption and spread.
  • Specify how opportunities should work in practice, including concrete onboarding flows, UI behavior, and adoption paths.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record owning and shipping growth, activation, or PLG product areas in B2B SaaS, consumer, AI, or platform products.
  • Deep fluency in growth mechanics — funnels, activation, retention, virality, and lifecycle — and analytical fluency to define metrics, instrument funnels, and interpret results alongside engineering and data teams.
  • Strong product sense and granular product thinking; comfortable moving between strategy and detailed execution and specifying onboarding and adoption experiences.
  • Deep interest in AI and enterprise software; ability to thrive in ambiguous spaces and create clarity and momentum.
  • Excellent communication, ownership, initiative, cross-functional collaboration, and a learning mindset.

Location

This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Mountain View office).

Compensation & Benefits

The standard base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $280,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

Glean offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage, generous time-off policy, 401(k) contributions, a home office improvement stipend, and annual education and wellness stipends. The company also provides regular events and daily healthy lunches.

AI-First Mindset at Glean

AI fluency is core to how Glean works. As part of the interview process, candidates complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion to demonstrate how they think about, design, and use AI to drive impact in the role.
