The Financial Platform team powers all trading flows and products at Coinbase, handling hundreds of billions of dollars of transactions per year. This role focuses on leading the product strategy for Coinbase’s financial platform during a critical growth period.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the vision and strategy for the platforms powering Coinbase’s trading flows and products.
  • Build robust, scalable solutions maintaining a high quality bar for customer financial data.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap to scale to 1 billion users.
  • Leverage metrics to guide development and prioritize based on customer value.
  • Explore new opportunities such as externalizing APIs to developers.
  • Become an expert in financial and crypto products through competitive and data analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Computer Science degree or software engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of financial products, including financial records and accounting pipelines.
  • Experience building scalable solutions related to fund movements, customer balances, or portfolio performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading business-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to align and motivate senior stakeholders (CFO, Accounting, Product, Engineering) around a vision.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience designing and implementing automated financial controls.
  • Knowledge of financial processes (audit, treasury, FP&A) and financial applications (ERP, accounting platforms, budgeting tools).

Salary

Target annual pay range: $180,370 — $212,200 USD, with bonus, equity, and benefits.
